Cultural directory · Tarragona
15 museums, galleries and art centers, a map in five sectors and three routes between Roman stone, Part Alta and the Mediterranean.
A stratified city of art
From Tàrraco to contemporary practices
Tarragona is discovered as a succession of layers. In Part Alta, art museums, religious collections and private galleries occupy old houses, vaults and patios. On the Moll de Costa, port warehouses have become generous rooms for photography, painting, sculpture and installation. Between the two, CaixaForum and municipal facilities maintain a current program.
Each address in this directory has been checked on a recent official source. To extend the visit with an acquisition, discover the original paintings currently available at Alpha Reproduction: advice before acquisition, packaging adapted to the work and international delivery monitored.
1. Read the layers of the city
Combine the MAMT, the Museu Diocesà and the MNAT: modern art, medieval heritage and Roman heritage reveal three complementary chronologies.
2. Follow current creation
Mèdol, the Port rooms and municipal centers host installations, photography and collective projects. Always check the current exhibition.
3. Buy unambiguously
The "Works for sale" marker is reserved for the two places where catalog, store or price make the sale directly verifiable: La Catedral and Personal.
