An art scene between granite, avant-garde and maritime horizon
Vigo concentrates a richer visual scene than its industrial image suggests. The center connects MARCO, the new reading of Galician art at Casa das Artes, the Laxeiro collections and several private galleries; to the west, Samil opens the route to maritime culture, while Pontevedra and Bueu naturally extend the route around the ria. Principe and Casco Vello offer the highest concentration of museums and public halls. Then add Ensanche for private galleries and places of creation.
Where to buy a work in Vigo?

Are Vigo museums free?
Several municipal places and MARCO offer free entry, but conditions and times change. Always check the official website linked in the file.
Can you browse the directory on foot?
The Principe and Ensanche sectors are entirely passable on foot. For Castrelos, Samil, Bueu and Pontevedra, bring public transport or a car.
