Understanding the Grenoble scene

Major collections, experiments and Alpine cultures

The Grenoble museum defended modern art very early on and today preserves a leading ensemble. The CNAC Store, opened in 1986 in an industrial hall, has permanently established contemporary creation in the Berriat district. On the slopes, the CAB, the Dauphinois Museum and Saint-Laurent combine art, heritage and landscape. Around these institutions, Spacejunk, the Graphics Center, the Maison de l'image, the VOG, the Espace Vallès and numerous private galleries circulate photography, painting, publishing and urban cultures.
