As of July 27, 2026, the most important temporary meeting still open is Nuda Veritas. Klimt at Villa Manin, in Italy, until September 6. In Vienna, exceptional visits to the Klimt ceilings of the Burgtheater continue until mid-August and the Leopold Museum shows two landscapes on loan until October 4. In Bonn, Klimt - KI - Kunst remains announced until at least the end of 2026, but it is a digital device dedicated to destroyed university paintings.
For 2027, the Leopold Museum has confirmed Modern Fashion. Wiener Werkstätte & Paris, from February 26 to June 27. Klimt appears in an ensemble devoted to Viennese fashion around 1900: it is therefore not a monographic retrospective.

Special visit to the Klimt ceilings
Burgtheater
A rare opportunity to approach the ceiling paintings created by Gustav and Ernst Klimt with Franz Matsch. The route shows the restored decorations, the original boxes and, on one side, the works from a scaffolding. The Burgtheater announces slots until mid-August, published monthly.
Nuda Veritas. Klimt
Villa Manin · Codroipo, province of Udine
Nuda Veritas (1899), exceptional loan from the Theatermuseum/Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, is placed in the context of the Viennese Secession, Klimt's links with Italy and the baroque decor of Villa Manin. The route through several rooms is not reduced to an isolated reproduction.

Two landscapes of Klimt loaned by the Stiftung Sammlung Kamm join the large permanent presentation Vienna 1900 : Italian Garden Landscape (1913) and Garden Landscape with Hilltop (Parish Garden) (1916). They dialogue with works by Schiele and Gerstl.

This interactive cabinet explains how artificial intelligence participated in the hypothetical recoloring of Faculty paintings destroyed in 1945: Philosophy, Medicine and Case law. The content was developed with Google Arts & Culture and Belvedere.

This now-completed exhibition examined Klimt's face to medicine and scientific progress around 1900. Around Faculty painting Medicine, destroyed in 1945, it brought together around twenty-five original drawings and objects of medical history.
The rarest appointment
The Burgtheater scaffolding tour is the most difficult to replicate on a later trip. It gives an unusual proximity to a still academic Klimt, before the Secession and the Golden Period.
The Summer Major Loan
At Villa Manin, Nuda Veritas temporarily leaves Vienna. Its spectacular verticality, its Schiller inscription and its frontal nudity mark the passage towards the secessionist Klimt.
The best concentration
To see several Klimts on the same trip, Vienna remains the densest choice: Burgtheater, Belvedere, Secession, Leopold Museum and Heidi Horten Collection can be linked in two days.

The 2027 program still remains partial. A single major exhibition dated and officially announced already places Klimt in his corpus.

Leopold Museum
A vast history of Viennese fashion from 1900 to 1930: reformed dress, Wiener Werkstätte, exchanges with Paris, creations by Emilie Flöge and works by Klimt, Schiele, Hoffmann, Moser, Sonia Delaunay and Raoul Dufy. Drawings, paintings, photographs, clothing and jewelry will be brought together.

La Neue Galerie closed on May 27, 2026 for renovation. The museum announces its reopening in the fall with a 25th anniversary exhibition, but has not yet communicated a day-by-day calendar.
