From the merchant port to the new cultural factories
The MusBA and the Galerie des Beaux-Arts recall the antiquity of Bordeaux collections. The CAPC, installed in the Lainé Warehouse, gave the city a major place in the history of contemporary art. Around these institutions, the Chartrons have preserved a culture of galleries, while Bacalan, the Bassins à flot, the MÉCA and the Fabrique Pola have transformed port and industrial architecture into places of exhibition, production and meeting.
