From the Arts Museum to the Island of Nantes, from Bouffay to Chantenay: compose your journey among 30 art places in the metropolis and the estuary.

This directory brings together 30 verified addresses, a map by zone, practical filters and three routes to connect heritage, emerging creation and international contemporary art.
Nantes · creation and estuaryGroup the visits by area: center and train station can be explored on foot, the Island of Nantes by tram, Carquefou and Saint-Nazaire over a dedicated half-day.
Understand the Nantes scene
An artistic geography between historic center, wastelands and estuary
The Arts Museum and the station area provide historical and photographic landmarks. Le Bouffay, Feydeau and Graslin bring together municipal and private galleries and heritage places. The Island of Nantes concentrates HAB, Frac, Beaux-Arts and numerous production spaces in former industrial territories. Towards Dobrée and Chantenay, independent galleries favor long-term support; to the north, collective workshops and residences extend the route. Carquefou and Saint-Nazaire finally open the map on a metropolitan and estuarine scale.
Check the exposure period
Several independent locations only open between two montages or by appointment. Check the official website the same day before traveling.
Group visits by bank
The center and the station form a compact route. For the Island of Nantes, choose three or four nearby stages rather than increasing the number of round trips.
Alternate collection and production
A museum or a Frac provides benchmarks; an artist-run space, a gallery or a school shows how works are produced and circulated today.
8 galleries where you can request available works
The badge Works for sale reports private galleries, showrooms and gallery workshops where you can request a list of works, a price and shipping conditions. Availability changes with exhibitions: always contact the address before your visit.
