From the Black Square to peasant figures, Kazimir Malevich transforms geometry into an experience of space, color and thought.

Kazimir Malevich, another transliteration of Kazimir Malevich, was born in 1879 near Kyiv. His journey crosses the great languages of the avant-garde: impressionism, symbolism, neoprimitivism, cubism and futurism. In Aviator or An Englishman in Moscow, objects, letters and bodies collide like the signs of an accelerated modern world. In 1915, Malevich presented the Black Square in Petrograd and named his non-objective art suprematism. White becomes a space without horizon; squares, crosses and colored rectangles exist there according to their weight, direction and tension. This reduction is not an impoverishment but the search for a sensation independent of the story. In Vitebsk, the artist teaches and runs UNOVIS, projecting new geometry into architecture, graphics and collective life. His European stay in 1927 helped to establish his international influence. Recent years, subject to increasing political surveillance, have seen the reappearance of peasants and self-portraits.
