Cette reproduction de tableau reprend « Le Conseil des dieux », une œuvre attribuée à l’atelier de Raphaël d’après sa conception. Il s’agit d’une peinture à l’huile sur toile entièrement peinte à la main par un artiste expérimenté. Réalisé sur commande, ce tableau adapte fidèlement la composition, les couleurs et les nuances de l’œuvre monumentale.

Selon la notice officielle de l’institution, l’œuvre originale a été créée en 1518. Réalisée en fresque de voûte, elle occupe le grand compartiment central de la voûte et demeure conservée in situ dans la Loggia de Cupidon et Psyché de la Villa Farnesina à Rome. Elle ne possède donc pas de numéro d’inventaire d’objet mobile.
