Femme au chauffe-pieds est une œuvre de Itō Shinsui, figure du shin-hanga. Shinsui modernisa le portrait féminin sans rompre avec la peinture nihonga de son maître Kaburaki Kiyokata. Ses figures semblent calmes ; un reflet, une nuque ou un kimono suffit pourtant à installer tout un récit.
