A family portrait where the face stands out between a white collar and a purple background

The head is placed in the upper third and the bust cut close to the shoulders. The large light collar forms an almost triangular base under the face, while the dark hair creates a rounded mass against the gray-purple background.

The skin tones combine pink, ocher, green and blue in very visible touches. The garment remains more compact, with colored blacks and deep purples. The background is brushed freely, without object or indication of space.

The resemblance arises less from a careful outline than from small temperature variations around the eyes, nose and mouth.
