The bridge unites the houses with a moving river

The footbridge intersects the foreground in a long diagonal. Behind it, the light facades and red roofs fit together at the foot of a steep relief. The river enters from the left, goes around the buildings then extends under the bridge.

Purple, blue and brown dominate the water and slopes; white walls and orange-red roofs concentrate the light. The light touches running across the river give a feeling of current rather than still reflection.

In W1234, the bridge is not a simple architectural detail: its diagonal connects the viewer to the small group of houses caught in the ravine.

Slopes almost fill the background. The absence of a big sky accentuates the impression of a hamlet installed at the bottom of a rocky passage.
