The subject of the work
The figure and the decor become one
A group of young women with closed eyes wrap themselves in a mass of bodies, hair and fabrics covered with flowers and spirals.
The figures form an oval whirlwind without soil or horizon. The faces emerge at different levels and keep the gaze in the circle.
Composition, ornament & color
An image constructed like a setting
At Klimt, the decor does not only serve as a background: it organizes the gaze, carries the symbols and gives the figures their presence.

The organization of the gaze

03
The palette and the material
Blues, purples, pinks, yellows and greens stand out against a dark background, with very light skin tones as resting points.

Presentation tips
Bring Klimt's ornament into dialogue with your interior
This square composition naturally finds its place on a clear wall or above a base unit. Warm, side light reveals painted material and contrasts without creating a frontal reflection.
