In the former home of David and Carmen Kreeger, European paintings, American art, African sculptures, Philip Johnson architecture and music make up an intimate experience.

The Kreeger Museum occupies the former residence of David and Carmen Kreeger, built between 1963 and 1967 on a wooded estate in Washington. The couple entrusted the project to Philip Johnson and Richard Foster, who imagined a stone house claire punctuated by seventeen domes and widely open to the landscape. The architecture must accommodate family life, receptions, concerts and a collection created according to a shared taste: the Kreegers decide set of each acquisition.
